Kasthamandap food industry making traditional sweets by combining technology (Photos)

. As the Tihar festival is approaching, the hustle and bustle of the market has increased.

Consumers are busy buying goods needed for the festival. Sweets are consumed a lot during the festival. There are many types of sweets available in the market. Traditional sweets are also a favorite of the consumers.

With the increase in demand, workers at the Kasthamandap Food Industry in Kathmandu are busy preparing the popular dishes. Combining the old traditional method with modern technology, the industry produces a variety of Lakhmari such as Japanese, Ashi & Asphyte Punjab, Guru Hukmeon, Aarsa, Both, Joprasad, Ati and Aitha.

In addition, other traditional sweets and snacks such as Firenden, Shimohi, Bollongi, Pavakau, Oriwa and Nimki are also prepared in a hygienic environment.

Founded in 2008 by Anil Das Rajkarnikar, the industry aims to preserve and promote the Rajkarnikar family’s traditional sweet-making culture that has been passed down through eight generations.
