Nursing unions demand implementation of government-fixed wages

. KATHMANDU: Nepal Nursing Association (NNA) has demanded implementation of the wages fixed by the government.

Issuing a press release today, the association said that although the interim government on October 9 had again directed the government to implement the minimum wage facility, the hospitals have been ignoring it.TAG_OPEN_div_11

According to the association, most of the health institutions have not yet implemented the minimum salary and facilities set by the Government of Nepal on December 11, 2081.TAG_OPEN_div_9

In the health sector, the fifth level salary is up to Rs 34,000, but they have been complaining that they are working at Rs 15,000.TAG_OPEN_div_7 Nurses and other health workers working in teaching, government, private and community hospitals across the country have been agitating demanding the implementation of minimum wages.
