Kathmandu. Police have arrested a gang involved in the robbery of cash and gold chains.

A team from the District Police Range, Kathmandu has arrested three persons on the charge of robbing a pedestrian at Jamal of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-27.

The arrestees have been identified as Arjun Shrestha, 21, of Hetauda of Makwanpur, currently residing in Chandragiri, Srijana Rai, 20, of Jhapa and currently residing in Naikap, Kathmandu and Binita Magar, 22, of Ramechhap and currently residing in Dallu, Kathmandu.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, Spokesperson of the Range, said that the Kathmandu District Court has remanded the gang to 6-day custody and investigation is underway. The robbers had looted 23.30 grams of gold chain, a mobile phone and Rs 2,235 in cash from the pedestrians.
