Gandaki. Issuing a public notice today, the District Administration Office, Kaski urged one and all to stay alert while trekking in view of rainfall taking place in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki state.

People have been urged not to go to Annapurna Base Camp, Mardi Himal, Khumai hill and Kori among other places until the weather becomes clear.

The trekkers have been asked to follow the official information issued by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, take adequate information about the destinations and go prepared and book in advance for food and accommodation. They have been urged not to go alone while trekking and to move slowly towards the height without hurrying.

People have been requested to take warm clothes including gloves, cap, jacket, thermos with hot water and medicines used in case of high altitude while trekking. Adequate quantity of hot water, life water, liquid food and no smoking and alcohol have been urged to abstain.
