Kathmandu. A writ petition has been filed at the Supreme Court challenging the decision to withhold passports of 5 persons, including CPN-UML Chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak.
Today, advocate Dr. Silwal filed a writ petition naming the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the Gauri Bahadur Karki-led Inquiry Commission and the Ministry of Home Affairs as defendants.
The probe body had withheld the passports of then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, then Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, then Home Secretary Gokarna Mani Duwadi, then National Investigation Commission Chief Hutraj Thapa and then Chief District Officer (CDO) of Kathmandu Chhabilal Rijal.
Advocate Silwal said that the writ petition has been filed at the Supreme Court arguing that fixing the boundary of the place is wrong.
