All security personnel from ex-PM Madhav Kumar Nepal withdrawn

Kathmandu. Former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has returned all the security personnel of the country.

It is said that the Home Ministry has returned all the security personnel provided to Nepal in the capacity of former Prime Minister.

According to sources, the security personnel of the former prime minister have been withdrawn following a corruption case filed against Nepal, who is also the chairman of the Unified Socialist Party. Currently, Nepal has 16 Armed Police Force personnel and two Nepal Police personnel.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case at the Special Court against 93 persons including Nepal in connection with the Patanjali Yogpeeth land scam.

After the detention hearing in the case, Nepal was released on a bail of Rs 3.5 million at the Special Court on June 24.
