Kathmandu. Efforts are underway to rescue 12 domestic tourists including three British women who were stranded in Mustang’s Hidden Valley.

NA spokesperson Rajaram Basnet said efforts are underway to rescue 12 domestic tourists including three British women stranded in ‘Hidden Valley’. “The condition of the tourists is normal and coordination is being made with the travel company for their rescue,” he said. ’

The tourists who reached Hidden Valley along the Dhawalagiri circuit trekking route from Myagdi to Mustang had been facing problems. The tourists were stranded at Hidden Valley after the trekking route was buried by snowfall since Monday night while heading towards Marfa of Gharpajhong rural municipality-2 of Mustang via the Italy base camp at Mudi of Dhawalagiri rural municipality-4 of Myagdi.

Meanwhile, security personnel have rescued around 1,500 tourists stranded in the upper belt of Manang due to incessant snowfall. According to NA Spokesperson Basnet, 1,500 people including 200 foreign tourists were rescued from different places of Tilicho, Khangsar, Pisang, Upper Manang and Humde areas of Manang.

A rescue team deputed from the New Bhairavidal Company of Manang coordinated with the local administration, people’s representatives, Armed Police Force Nepal and Nepal Police.
