Kathmandu. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said that there is possibility of rain in several places of the country as the Westerly wind and the ‘Montha’ cyclone have partially affected the country at present.

Similarly, there is an active influence of the Westerly wind in the country, while the low pressure system formed in the Arabian Sea and the cyclone ‘Montha’ developed in the Bay of Bengal have had some impact.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather will be cloudy in the hilly region including Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces for most of the days today while it will be generally cloudy in the Tarai region. There are chances of moderate rain at many places of Koshi, Madhesh and Bagmati provinces. There are chances of rain and snowfall at some places of the hilly and mountainous region of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.

Light rain is likely to occur at some places of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. The Division has predicted moderate snowfall in some places of the high hilly and mountainous region of the country. The Division has also urged the farmers to stay alert while travelling to the places where there is possibility of rain and snowfall.
