Rain in Kathmandu Valley since early morning (Photos)

Kathmandu. Light rain is taking place in various places including the Kathmandu Valley since the morning today due to the influence of the Westerly wind and the cyclone ‘Montha’ formed in the Bay of Bengal.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the active influence of the Westerly wind, the low-pressure system developed in the Arabian Sea as well as the cyclone ‘Montha’ that developed in the Bay of Bengal has had some impact throughout the country.

The weather will be cloudy in the hilly region including Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces for most of the time towards the afternoon while it will be generally cloudy in the Tarai region. There are chances of moderate rain at many places of Koshi, Madhesh and Bagmati provinces. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there are chances of rain and snowfall at some places of the hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.

Similarly, light rain is likely to occur at some places of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Normal life has been somewhat affected in the Kathmandu Valley due to light rainfall since the morning today ।
