Kathmandu. Kathmandu, Aug 12: Police have arrested two persons on the charge of robbery at gunpoint near Goldhunga Fulbari Gate of Tarakeshwor municipality-5 in Kathmandu.
The arrestees have been identified as Surya Bahadur Ghalan, 26, of Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-5, Makwanpur and currently residing in Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu and Manoj Chaudhary, 23, of Dudhauli Municipality-10, Sindhuli, according to the Chief of Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Ranipokhari, Dan Bahadur Karki.
Shrawan Tamang, 19, of Gokaneshwor Municipality-5 was arrested on the charge of robbing his black bag of his possession by two motorbikes (Ba Pa 42 Pa 4069) at sharp-edged weapons while he was stopping his motorbike (Ba Pa 02-050 Pa 1602) near Fulbari Gate of Tarakeshwor-5 last night.
Senior head constable Jeevan Budhathoki and assistant head constable Krishna Bahadur Basnet were arrested from the temporary police post Tinpiple for the investigation based on the information given by the victims, police said.
Police confiscated a bill book with registration number Ba Pra 02-050 Pa 1602, a mobile phone charger, house keys, a watch with Rolex written on it, Rs 3,000 in cash, a khukuri, a Redmi mobile phone, a black bag with ‘Bobo’ written on it, 30 drugs with Tramadol written on it and a red and black motorcycle (Ba 42 Pa 4069).
The accused has been kept at Police Circle, Balaju for interrogation, said Karki, adding that further investigation into the case was underway.
