Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Rainfall occurred in most parts of the country due to influence of cyclone ‘Montha’ developed in the Bay of Bengal and the low-pressure system, the Meteorological Forecasting Division said the weather will gradually improve from this evening.

According to Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather will be completely cloudy in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces while it will be generally cloudy in the rest of the provinces.

According to Meteorological Forecasting Division, moderate rainfall is likely to occur at many places of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces towards the afternoon. Light rain is likely to occur at some places of the hilly and mountainous region of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Some places of Koshi, Madhes and Bagmati provinces and at one or two places of Lumbini province are likely to witness heavy rainfall.

Likewise, moderate snowfall is likely to occur at many places of high hilly and mountainous region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. There is also the possibility of heavy snowfall in some places of these provinces.

The Division has urged the general public, farmers, travellers and drivers to adopt necessary precautions.
