Ilam. Ilam: The Ilam-Rajduwali road section has been obstructed due to incessant rainfall since Thursday.

Chief District Officer (CDO) Sunita Nepal told RSS that the vehicular operation has been banned along the road section due to subsidence in several places. Vehicular movement has been completely halted on the road until further notice, he added.

Similarly, the Tilkeni-Simalgolai-Silpur road, which is an alternative road of the Mechi Highway, has also been obstructed due to rain and landslide. The Mechi Corridor (Kechana-Kanchenjunga road) has been obstructed since October 1 following a bridge over Maikhola at Belase collapsed. Ilam: The road connectivity between Ilam and Jhapa has been disrupted after all the roads linking Ilam to Jhapa have been disrupted.

Meanwhile, weather is likely to be affected in different places including Ilam of Koshi Province from November 29 to 29 due to cyclone ‘Montha’ which developed in the Bay of Bengal.
