Bhojpur. Most of the rural roads in the district have been obstructed due to incessant rain. Locals have been facing problems as the dirt road has turned muddy and it is difficult to operate vehicular movement.

Pregnant women, emergency patients and those affected by the disaster have been facing difficulties in mobility due to the road disruption, said locals. The supply of daily essentials and the market supply have also been affected due to the disruption of transportation.

The Bhojpur-Dingla section linking the district headquarters Bhojpur to Sadananda municipality and Salpasilichho rural municipality in the northern part of the district has been covered with muddy condition due to inrainfall. Likewise, the roads leading to Hatuwagadhi, Ram Prasad Rai and Aamchowk rural municipalities in the southern part of the district have been obstructed for smooth vehicular movement, said the District Police Office. Meanwhile, the blacktopping of the Mid-Hill Highway which is the centre of Arun, Pauwadungma, Temkemaiyung rural municipalities and Bhojpur municipality has eased, according to locals.

The District Police Office has urged one and all to remain alert as there is a risk of landslide and road collapse at different places due to incessant rainfall. The District Administration Office has also issued a notice urging the people not to travel except for emergency work and to stay away from possible risk areas.
