Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court (SC) has issued an interim order not to implement the government’s decision to recall Nepal’s ambassadors to 11 different countries. A division bench of Justices Saranga Subedi and Shrikanta Poudel issued the verdict.

The government recalled the ambassadors two weeks ago. Prime Minister Sushila Karki, during a discussion with editors on Friday, said that some ambassadors had to be recalled for their remarks against the government while some had to be recalled because of questions of financial discipline.

A writ petition was filed at the Supreme Court claiming that the government’s decision to recall the ambassador was not legal. After the initial hearing of the case, the Supreme Court issued a temporary interim order not to implement the decision of the withdrawal.
