Notice of Bail Renewal by Department of Foreign Affairs

Kathmandu. The Department of Foreign Employment (DoFE) has issued a notice to all concerned to send the required evidence to update the records of the deposit and bank guarantee amount destroyed in the fire caused by the Jenji demonstration.

The Department has drawn the attention of foreign employment entrepreneurs and other organisations to provide necessary evidences to update the record of deposit and bank guarantee amount destroyed in the fire that took place on September 24.

The Department has been collecting deposit for the purpose of branch expansion of manpower companies doing business related to foreign employment, conducting orientation training, sending domestic workers, judicial bail and other purposes. The amount is deposited in a lump sum in the fixed account by the Department as per the Foreign Employment Act and Regulations.

The department’s parks were gutted in a fire that took place during the Jenji demonstration on September 24. According to the department, the District Police Range, Kathmandu had prepared a report on October 11 regarding the destruction of the documents as the deposit details of each manpower company are not visible separately.

The Department has urged the foreign employment entrepreneurs and orientation institutes to provide the documents and evidences to update the lost deposit records.

As per the notice, the manpower companies or orientation training providers should submit a certified copy of the deposit voucher, a certified copy of the bank guarantee, a self-declaration with the exact details of the deposit, a copy of the transaction made by the bank, voucher and application in case of personal deposit, a letter of deposit and a copy of citizenship certificate.
