Kathmandu. Nepal Scout has directed Khadka Land Development Pvt Ltd, owned by former Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Deepak Khadka, to clear its dues within 7 days.
The scouts have warned that if the dues are not paid within seven days, they will confiscate the physical structures and materials built on the land as per point number 4 of the agreement and Chapter 12, Sections 619, 620 (4) and 621 of the Civil Code-2074.
According to the notice issued by Scout, Khadka’s company has set up plot number one at Lainchaur of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26. 3 ropani of raker land adjacent to the border of Mines Department of Ward No. 10 is in use. The company and Scout had signed an agreement in 2065 BS and had been renting the land for 10 years. The agreement expired in 2075 BS.
However, Khadka Land Development Pvt Ltd had been using the land on the basis of the judgment of July 18, 2019 in the Kathmandu District Court.
The SCOUT had filed an appeal against the district court’s decision and issued a petition in the name of the appellant-defendant by the High Court Patan on June 27, 2079.
Based on the High Court’s verdict on June 26, 2022, Khadka Land Development Pvt Ltd has been using 3 ropanis of land in Lainchaur against the agreement.
As per the court’s order, Nepal Scouts will be barred from entering the contracted area until all the remaining fare is cleared.
