Baglung. KATHMANDU: President of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Chandra Prasad Dhakal, has said that religious activities have increased in the Gandak area.
On the occasion, Dhakal praised the campaign launched by the Manav Sewa Ashram in all seven provinces and said that the construction of the temple of humanity has begun on the bank of the holy Kaligandaki river. He stressed the need of further acquainting Baglung land by linking human sentiment with religion.
Inaugurating the Shreemad Bhagawat Gyan-Vigyan Mahayagya organized for the construction of branch building of Manav Sewa Ashram, Baglung today, Chair Dhakal said that it was necessary to introduce Baglung by linking human sentiment with religion. He pledged to provide as much support as possible for the construction of the temple of humanity through the Mahayagya.
“There is support from all in the noble work of human sentiment, the holy Kaligandaki river which is situated in the lap of Muktinath and Damodar Kunda. I will personally and institutionally participate in the construction of the Ashram building,” he said.
Dhakal said that the Manav Sewa Ashram should connect Muktinath area, Damodar Kunda, Galeshwor, Baglung Kalika, Modibeni Dham and Jaiminighat where Jaimini Rishi had meditated.
Dhakal said Baglung which is cut by Kaligandaki corridor and Mid-Hill Highway is moving ahead in the field of religious tourism. He urged the Ashram activists Ramji Adhikari and Sumira Lama among others to work in humanitarian sector.
He stressed the need to spread the message that there is a Manav Sewa Ashram for those who are stranded on the streets, destitute, in need of help, guardians and those who have no one. The Manab Sewa Ashram established in 2072 BS has been providing shelter to 64 people in a rented building.
The construction of the building of Manav Sewa Ashram at Nirayghat of Baglung Municipality-4 since 2078 has already been completed at a cost of Rs 50 million. Bhagwat Bhaskar Kamalnayan Gautam is the main narrator of the Mahayagya which will be held till November 12.
