Bagmati. Police have destroyed marijuana cultivation in more than 30 bighas of land in different parts of Makwanpur.

A joint team of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force (APF) deployed Chisapani, Beltar, Temta, Goretar, Debutar of Raksirang Rural Municipality, Satkanya, Khaireni, Joiti of Kailash Rural Municipality and Bhadour Jyarabu of Bhimphedi Rural Municipality.

Acting on a tip-off that locals were involved in illegal cultivation of marijuana, a joint team deployed from November 3 to November 3 destroyed marijuana cultivation in 30 bigha and 10 katthas, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Pushkar Bogati of District Police Office. He said that the campaign will also be conducted in other places where marijuana is grown. Marijuana is cultivated in the hilly region of Makwanpur every year.
