Kailali. A person died when a vegetable jeep (Lu 2 Cha 2358) heading towards west from east hit him.

The deceased has been identified as Shanker Dagaura, 55, of Bardagoriya rural municipality-6, Kota Tulsipur, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Ramesh Awasthi.

Critically injured Dagaura was rushed to Ghodaghodi Hospital where doctors declared him dead, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Awasthi. Three others were injured in the accident.

The injured have been identified as pedestrian Padam Bahadur Shahi, 54, of Sadepani in Ghodaghodi-2, Harka Bahadur Dagaura, 45, of Bardagoriya Rural Municipality-6 and Krishna Dagaura, 25, of Bardagoriya Rural Municipality-6. They are undergoing treatment at Ghodaghodi Hospital. Injured Padam Bahadur Shahi has been referred to Dhangadhi for further treatment.

The jeep driver Santosh Gharti Magar, 23, of Triveni rural municipality-4 of Rolpa was taken under control, according to the Area Police Office.
