Khanbari. The Armed Police Force (APF) has distributed warm clothes to the students of Himal Basic School at Kimathanka of Bhotkhola rural municipality-1.
Warm clothes were distributed to 30 students at a programme organized by Arun Company of Chainpur-4 at Kimathanka on Friday. The clothes were distributed in the presence of Chief District Officer Srijana Thapaliya, local people’s representatives, school teachers and guardians.
Chief District Officer Thapaliya said the campaign has helped increase trust and affinity among locals as APF is not only a security personnel but also fulfilling its social responsibility by connecting with the community.
The locals also said that the community service programme run by the Armed Police Force has further strengthened the relations between the border settlements and the security bodies. The Armed Police Force (APF) has been regularly carrying out relief and assistance programmes for students, impoverished families and people affected by the disasters in remote and bordering areas of the country.
