Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Entrepreneur Durga Prasain on Sunday reached the Manohara squatters’ settlement to express his support to fight against Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah.
Addressing the gathering, he appealed to the people to show their support for his campaign starting from November 23. He warned that the same would be done to the wives and families of those who thrashed the squatters.
He has accused Victor Poudel of taking Rs 2 crore to make Bablu Gupta a minister. Stating that the parties have only created a vote bank for the squatters, he assured that he would not ask for votes but would help provide concrete houses to all. He warned the entire party and Balen that he would take them to task.
The one-week ultimatum given by the metropolis to vacate the squatters is expiring today. The metropolis plans to vacate the settlement once the ultimatum is over.
