Kathmandu. A writ petition has been filed at the Supreme Court against the formation of government in Madhes Province.

A writ petition has been filed at the Supreme Court today against the formation of the government in accordance with Article 168 (3) of the constitution. Advocates Sujit Yadav and Rocky Prasad Sah filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court today.

The petition states that the formation of the government by the Chief of the State as per Article 3 is unconstitutional while Article 168 (2) of the constitution is still alive.

The petition has named the Office of the Chief Minister, the Office of the Chief Minister and the Madhes Provincial Assembly as defendants.
