Kathmandu. President Ram Chandra Poudel has administered the oath of office and secrecy to newly appointed Chief of Madhes Province Surendra Labh Karna.

President Poudel administered the oath of office and secrecy to Karna amidst a special ceremony at the Office of the President, Shital Niwas, according to the President’s Personal Secretariat.

Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Sushila Karki, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, ministers, chiefs and office-bearers of constitutional bodies were present on the occasion.

The meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Monday had recommended the President to appoint Surendra Labh Karna of Dhanusha as the Chief of Madhes Province.
