Milk sales earn Rs 13 lakh annually

Kanchanpur. Shiva Charan Rana of Shuklaphanta Municipality-12 in Kanchanpur district is earning a good income from the sale of milk in his village. Rana, who had suffered a lot while working as a labourer, left India and returned home with a plan to do something in the village.

Rana, who was once a labourer in India, is now the owner of a dairy in the village. Rana had to work hard and struggle to become a boss. He started collecting milk on bicycle and selling it in 2068 BS and now he has become a dairy owner.

Rana started his business with two liters of milk. Currently, he collects and sells 1,500 litres of milk daily.

“I faced a lot of hardships while working in India, I returned to my village and started selling milk on a bicycle,” Rana said, adding, “I have started my own dairy business after saving the money I earned from this.” ’

In the beginning, Rana, who used to collect milk on a bicycle, struggled a lot to establish himself. With that dedication and hard work, he became a successful businessman with a good income. Rana collects milk from the villages and sells it in Jhalari Bazaar, Attariya and Kailali. He has hired six milk workers with a monthly salary of Rs 20,000 to Rs 26,000.

“I started with two liters of milk but gradually the collection of milk increased,” he said, adding, “Now we collect 1,500 liters of milk.” ’

Rana has also amassed property worth around Rs 90 lakh from this business. “I have been earning up to Rs 13 lakhs annually after deducting all expenses from the sale of milk,” Rana said, adding, “I am very happy with this. ’

Lately, many youths have been migrating abroad citing lack of employment in the country. But there are many who return to their own land rather than suffering abroad. The success of Rana, who left his job abroad and worked hard in his own village, is enticing. He has now become an exemplary person in the society.
