Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Gorkhas is taking on Sudurpaschim Royals in the second match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) today. Sudurpaschim will be aiming for a happy start as Kathmandu is looking for its second win. Earlier, Kathmandu had defeated Janakpur Bolts in the opening match.
Karan KC is leading Kathmandu. Other members in the team are Bhim Sarki, Mohammad Adil Alam, Shahab Alam, Ben Charlesworth, Gerhard Erasmus, Dipesh Kandel, Milind Kumar, Rashid Khan, Uttam Thapa Magar (wk), Sunny Patel, John Simpson (wk), Prateek Shrestha, Akash Tripathi, Tul Bahadur Thapa, Ricardo Vasconcelos (wk), Santosh Yadav and Sonu Devkota.
Dipendra Singh Airee, who is also the vice-captain of the Nepali national team, is the captain of the Sudurpaschim Royals. Other members in the team are Binod Bhandari (wk), Avinash Bohara, Deepak Bohara (wk), Milan Bohara, Josh Brown, Hemant Dhami, Scott Kuggeleijn, Chris Lynn, Ishan Pandey, Tek Rawat (wk), Naren Saud, Harmit Singh, Aarif Sheikh, Dipendra Thapa (wk), Himmat Mahara.
Former head coach of Nepal National Cricket Team Monty Desai and Sudurpaschim coach Jagat Tamata are the coaches of Kathmandu. Eight teams are taking part in the tournament organised by Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) from November 15.
