Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) organized a startup entrepreneurship orientation program at NCC Building in Jamal, Kathmandu today.
More than 100 innovations were benefitted from the Start-off Entrepreneurship Program organized by Women Chamber in collaboration with Industrial Business Development Foundation. The government was focused on the startup loan offerings, the loan process, the nature of the industry, among others.
The Industrial Business Development Foundation (IEDF) has set a deadline of November 24 for the proposal of startup loan. In the program organized at the Chamber building, Executive Director of the Foundation, Umesh Gupta, informed about the innovations regarding startup loan proposal, loan issuance process, and areas of loan offering.
Addressing the orientation program, Kamalesh Kumar Agrawal, president of Chamber of Commerce, underscored the need to expand startup loan to all seven provinces to promote entrepreneurship. He said that the budget for the coming fiscal year should be increased and startup loans should be expanded nationwide.
Chairman Agrawal said that the success stories of the entrepreneurs who have taken startup loans should be brought out and their production and marketing should be supported. Agrawal said that the chamber will help in further study and research on startup loans.
President of Women’s Chamber Urmila Shrestha stressed on the need of developing entrepreneurship by utilizing the startup loan. She said that the NCC will continue the orientation program on women entrepreneurship.
