Kathmandu. President Ram Chandra Poudel has stressed the need of the hour to create investment-friendly environment by maintaining political stability, good governance and peace and security.

During a meeting with representatives of the private sector including the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) at Shital Niwas today, President Poudel said that the low morale of the investors was a matter of concern for the country’s economy.

“The incident took place on September 23 and 24. National and private property were set on fire and vandalism. There was a huge loss of life and property. It is unfortunate,” President Poudel said, adding, “But I urge the industrialists not to be discouraged.” The state is with you. ”

Stating that the private sector was the major base of the country’s economy, he said that economic development and prosperity of the country was not possible without the industrial and commercial development. “The courage and patience you have shown in difficult situations is really commendable. An environment conducive for investment must be created while maintaining peace and security. I urge the government to create such an environment. President Poudel said.

During the meeting, the private sector stressed the need to control the wrong infiltration taking place in the name of agitation. They called for an end to impunity and creating an environment of peace, stability and investment. They also said that the upcoming elections should be held on time and there would be support from the private sector for the elections.

On the occasion, President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Chandra Prasad Dhakal, said that the illegal infiltration carried out in the name of September 7 and September 7 had caused a big loss to the public and private property.

“The agendas of good governance and transparency raised in the Genji movement are the agendas raised by the FNJ. However, the recent Genji agitation and the intrusion during that period have caused huge losses to the private industries,” he said. In such a situation, the general public and the business community should feel safe. The rule of law is essential for industrial safety and stability. If impunity prevails, tomorrow’s situation could be even more serious. ’

Pointing out the need to understand the private sector as the economic backbone of the nation, Dhakal called for industrial security, guarantee of legal guarantees and effective implementation process.

Former President of FNCCI Shekhar Golchha said that if the complaint is not registered against the culprits and there is indifference in taking action, the impunity will increase and the investment climate will be seriously affected.

President of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), Birendra Raj Pandey, said that the state mechanism should be serious to maintain personal and industrial peace and security.
