Kathmandu. EVs worth Rs 7.54 billion were imported till mid-November of the current fiscal year. During the period, the government earned Rs 4.68 billion revenue from the import of EVs.

According to the Department of Customs, 1,002 EVs of 50 KW have entered the country during this period. Similarly, 1,826 vehicles with 51 to 100 kW capacity, 374 vehicles with 101 to 200 kW capacity and 1 EV with 201 to 300 kW capacity have been imported.

With the increase in the attraction of EVs in Nepal, imports have also been remarkable. According to the department, 1,002 vehicles with 50 kW, 1,826 vehicles with 51 to 100 kW, 374 vehicles with 101 to 200 kW capacity and 1 EV with capacity of 201 to 300 kW have arrived.
