Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Police have arrested two persons on the charge of vandalizing and arson at the Supreme Court.

A team from the District Police Range, Kathmandu arrested Jyoti Thapa Ghatane, 28, of Bhadrapur and Sushil Shrestha, 30, of Mahalaxmisthan of Lalitpur on the charge of vandalizing the Supreme Court, arson and looting the security personnel.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, Spokesperson of the Range, said that they were arrested on the charge of their involvement in criminal activities, including vandalism, arson and looting of the Supreme Court building during the JENI agitation on September 24.

Bhattarai said that the arrestees have been remanded in custody for 7 days by the Kathmandu District Court.
