Rasuwa. The number of devotees taking bath in the Chilime hot water has increased again in recent times. It is believed that bathing in hot water cures various diseases.
The devastating earthquake of April 25, 2015 had affected the Tatopani Kunda at Amachhodingmo Rural Municipality-5. The number of devotees taking bath has increased after the hot water came out in the kunda again. Singi Tamang, a local, said that around 10 to 15 people come to the temple every day to bathe in hot water. According to him, after bathing in a hot water tap, the diseases of the body are cured.
About two decades ago, the Tourism Programme for the Alleviation of Rural Poverty had supported the construction of stone spouts and ponds in the area. Lalimaya Tamang, 64, of Bungtang in Meghang Rural Municipality-2 in Nuwakot claimed that bathing in hot water cured her of various diseases.
Ram Prasad Poudel and Debaki Poudel, residents of Bidur Municipality, Battar, said hot water is very useful for the treatment of physical ailments. Devotees from other districts have also been attracted to take bath at the place.
