Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has informed the Federal Parliament about his visit to Spain beginning today.
Addressing today’s meeting of the House of Representatives( HoR), Prime Minister Oli informed that a delegation led by him is going on an official visit to Spain this evening to attend the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development of the United Nations.
Prime Minister Oli said that he is going to travel to Spain via Doha at 6 pm today. The Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive in Madrid, the capital of Spain, in the morning of June 15. There are 21 members in the tour team. During his address, PM Oli said that he would play his role to reflect nepal’s national interest.
An international conference in Sevilla, Spain, is held once in a decade. Like the United Nations General Assembly, the conference is attended by heads of state and government of member states.
On the second day of his visit, PM Oli is scheduled to address the concluding session of the plenary organized by the civil society in Sevilla, Spain, at around 4 pm on July 14.
Prime Minister Oli and His Spanish counterpart Podro Sánchez are scheduled to meet at 5 pm on the day. Prime Minister Oli will attend a dinner to be hosted by the King of Spain to welcome the heads of state and government.
On the third day of his visit, PRIME Minister Oli will attend the inaugural session of the conference. On the same day, PM Oli will address the announcement of the Independent Commission for the Future of Development Cooperation organized by the Gates Foundation in the afternoon.
On the same day, a bilateral meeting will be held between Estonian President Alar Karis and Prime Minister Oli in the afternoon and in the afternoon, Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to address the conference in his capacity as chairman of the Least Developed Countries (LDCs).
On the same day, a bilateral meeting will be held with Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Kamal Madbuli, Portuguese Prime Minister Louis Montenegro and un Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. On the same day, PM Oli will attend an official dinner to be hosted by the President (Prime Minister) of the Spanish government.
On the fourth day of his visit, Prime Minister Oli will preside over a high-level meeting of the Least Developed Countries (LDCs). Pm Oli will also address a high-level side-event titled ‘Investing in Global Solidarity: A New Vision for Development Cooperation’ to be organized by His Excellency Pedro Sánchez, Chairman, Government of Spain.
Pm Oli is scheduled to address a high-level side-event of Empowering Resilience, Climate Smart Fencing for Sustainable LDC Graduation to be jointly organised by the Government of Nepal, Bangladesh, Lao and united nations resident coordinator (UNRC).
On the same day, PM Oli will also address a programme titled “Flow of Water and Sanitation Financial Resources” at the initiative of heads of state and government to be co-hosted by Nepal and Burundi. He will also address the revival programme of international development cooperation in the afternoon on the same day and attend a dinner to be hosted by the Nepali Ambassador to Spain at 8 pm.
On the fifth day, the Prime Minister will participate in a program to be organized in Madrid from Sevilla and will address the Nepal-Spain Business and Investment Promotion Program.
Prior to returning home on The Sixth Day of his visit on June 15, PM Oli will meet officials of Real Madrid Football Club and visit the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. Pm Oli is also scheduled to return home via Doha on the same day after meeting the Nepali community in Spain.
