Kathmandu. Bijay Distillery Pvt Ltd, part of Jawalakhel Group of Industries, which sells various types of vodka, has a turnover of more than Rs 1 billion. In the nine months of the current fiscal year, the company has done business of Rs 1.19 billion.

In 2024, the company’s business was only Rs 1.10 billion. In the last nine months, the company’s business has increased by Rs 92 million. The company had a turnover of Rs 2.12 billion in 2023. The company’s business fell significantly in 2024 compared to 2023.

In 2022, the company has done business worth Rs 2.85 billion. Similarly, in 2021, the company had a turnover of Rs 2.67 billion. Similarly, the operating income of the company has also improved significantly.

The company earned 28 percent of operating income (OBITDA/OI) in 2025 (9 months of the current fiscal year). In 2024, the company’s operating income was negative by 7 percent. In 2023, the company’s operating revenue was 9 percent, in 2022 it was 9 percent and in 2021 it was 17 percent.

The company has a loan rating of Rs 912 million for short-term and long-term loans. Rating agency ICRA Nepal has rated the loan as ‘ICRANP AFO’. This shows that the company’s ability to repay short-term debt is weak. The company sells eight different brands of liquor.

The company has been selling Ruslan vodka since 1973. Since February 2023, the internationally popular brand Ski Vodka has also been selling.

The company has been operating in the Nepali market in collaboration with international manufacturing companies. Bijay Kumar Shah is the chairman of the company with more than 240 sub-dealers across the country. Blue Diamond Gin and Golden Woke Blended Whisky brand wines are the most traded liquors.
