Entrepreneurs complain that there is a rough road from Dharan to Chindedanda at present and it is difficult to travel during the rainy season or winter season. However, with the construction of the bridge at Sardukhola, the journey has become a bit easier.

According to the locals, the name Chindedanda has been kept as this hill looks naked when looking north from Dharan, while it is also known as ‘Ramitedanda’ among the locals as the pedestrians stand here and see Ramita. Tamang, Gurung, Rai, Chhetri and Brahmin communities live in this area. Places like Gurung Chhap and Karki Chhap are near Chindedanda.

A view tower has also been constructed a few years ago with the support of the Koshi state government. Tourism entrepreneurs Basudev Baral and Alina Magar have operated the Sech Adventure Park and Resort.
