Kathmandu. Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel said the finance minister has kept the tax on EV stable to increase the consumption of electricity.

Addressing an interaction programme organized by the Association of Economic Journalists of Nepal (NAFIJ) and distributing prizes and coordinating the budget and monetary policy, he said the budget has promoted electric vehicles to increase nepal’s energy consumption.

Minister Poudel has said that he has adopted a stable policy on tax policy and tax rate. The Finance Minister said that it is the responsibility not only to bring the budget but also to implement it. Preparations are underway to implement the next year’s budget, he said.

Although there is confusion about take and pay in the budget, banks and financial institutions, energy producers and others are satisfied with it.
