Kathmandu. In the 11 months of the current fiscal year, 20 commercial banks have earned a profit of Rs 54 billion. According to Nepal Rastra Bank( NRB), commercial banks have earned a profit of Rs 53.97 billion till Mid-May.
Nabil Bank and Global IME Bank were the most profitable banks during this period. In the 11 months of the current fiscal year, these banks have been able to earn a profit of more than Rs 6 billion.
Similarly, Nepal Investment Mega Bank is the third most profitable bank. The bank’s profit for the first 11 months of the current fiscal year is more than Rs 5 billion.
During this period, Everest Bank’s profit has also been more than Rs 4 billion. Nmb Bank and Nepal Bank have earned a profit of more than Rs 3 billion during this period.
During this period, the profit of seven banks was more than Rs 2 billion, while the profit of the remaining banks was less than Rs 2 billion.
