Kathmandu. Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) and its hydropower projects in Rasuwa and Nuwakot have stopped generating 250 MW of electricity due to floods in Lande khola of Nepal-China border area.
Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Project, Trishuli 3 ‘A’, Chilime Hydropower and Beni Hydropower Have been damaged in the flood.
The Rasuwagadhi hydropower project has suffered the most damage due to the floods. Station head Santosh Adhikari said that the powerhouse has been submerged and the headbox and other structures have been damaged due to the flood.
Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Project has 111 MW, Trishuli 3 ‘A’ 60 MW, Chilime Hydropower 21 MW and Beni Hydropower 19 MW. ।
