Kathmandu. The accident took place around 4:00 am on Sunday at Buddhabhumi Municipality-9 of Kapilvastu along the East-West Highway from Kathmandu to Dang.

According to the Area Police Office, Gorusinghe, the bus (Lumbini Province 02-001 Kha 0045) en route to Dang from Kathmandu met with the accident at Welndi of Buddhabhumi Municipality-9 along the East-West Highway.

Twenty-nine passengers were injured when the bus overturned on the right side of the road.

Three of the injured are in critical condition, police said. Information Officer at the District Police Office, Kapilvastu, Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohan Mani Adhikari said that a team of Area Police Office, Gorusinghe and Traffic Police reached the spot immediately after the accident.
