Kathmandu. Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Sah has not been able to show efficiency in the allocation budget expenditure.
Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) had approved a budget of Rs 24.90 billion for the current fiscal year 2081/82 BS. Looking at the implementation of the budget for the current fiscal year, out of rs 24.90 billion, the total expenditure till July 13 is Rs 13.03 billion. Which is 52 of the total budget. It is 13 percent.
Similarly, rs 15.66 billion has been allocated for capital expenditure, out of which Rs 6.73 billion has been allocated. Which is 44 of the total budget. It comes to 72 percent. Out of rs 9.82 billion allocated for the current fiscal year, Rs 6.22 billion has been spent. Which is 63.42 percent of the total budget.
According to the sector-wise budget analysis, 37.69 percent of the total allocation of Rs 743.98 million has been made for the economic development sector. Similarly, 47.92 per cent of the total allocation for the social sector has been spent on the social sector. Of the total allocation of Rs 11.39 billion, 52.52 per cent has been spent on the infrastructure sector.
Similarly, 28.8 percent of the total amount allocated for good governance and inter-related sectors has been spent on Rs 3.24 billion. Out of the total allocation of Rs 4.20 billion for office operation and administrative sector, 77.02 per cent of it has been spent.
In the current fiscal year, a target of Rs 12.90 billion was set for revenue income. Out of this, the target of internal revenue collection is Rs 8.03 billion. A total of Rs 10.09 billion revenue has been collected till July 31.
