Nepali and German business representatives arrive in Hamburg’s Airbus to understand business prospects

Kathmandu. A special meeting was held at the Airbus office in Hamburg, Germany, jointly organized by the German Asia-Pacific Business Association and Nepal German Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Sunday.

Mr. Almut Robner, Chief, German Asia Pacific Business Association, said that more trade partnerships should be taken in innovative ways.

Innes Budarik, Regional Manager for South Asia, German Asia, stressed the need for Germany to increase trade between Nepal and Germany and said that it would be important for the two countries Nepal and Germany to increase business.

Speaking at the programme organised by His Excellency Dr. Sail Rupakheti, Ambassador of The Embassy of Nepal to Germany, he said that there was a lot of effort to increase economic activities and investment between the two countries.

The Ambassador stressed the need to increase trade and investment between Nepal and Germany under the coordination of Nepal-Germany Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The German Chamber of Commerce and Industry has said that the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry should play a big role under the chairmanship of Santosh Chandra Kuwar as there is a lot of potential for investment in tourism and other sectors.

More than 150 business participants participated in the meeting and they are from Nepali, German, Chinese, China, India, Pakistan and other countries. Braces from different countries were placed in the program, in which Nepal’s Barsinghe Beer was the best.

Muskan Shrestha and Ravi KC, based in Germany, were present on behalf of Barasingh Beer and gave full information about beer. Similarly, bhola Thapa from tourism sector, Dawa Tshering Sherpa from Hamburg and Sanjay Shrestha, a many-year-old businessman from Berlin, among others, said that there is a high potential for investment between the two countries and they will use it.

Herman investors expressed happiness that Airbus helicopters were able to fly up to Sagarmatha Base Camp in Nepal. Nepal is importing helicopters from Germany. Airbus officials have also said that Nepali engineers are doing a good job.

However, it has been conveyed to the Chairman of NGCCE that It is very difficult for Nepal to go ahead with the international bid. German investors say that if this can be improved, economic activity between the two countries will increase.

President of Nepal-Germany Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed the hope that the B2B meeting and other delegations between the two countries would be effective in the coming days.
