Kathmandu. Sindhuligadhi, which has historical significance, has become a good travel destination for domestic tourists. Along with the natural beauty, people also come here to understand the history of Nepal. People are seen enjoying taking photos÷videos.

Tourists coming to Gadhi have increased due to easy access of transport from major cities of Nepal including Kathmandu, Janakpur and Birgunj. Sindhuligadhi is the historical site where the Nepali army won a fierce battle with the forces of the East India Company.

Sindhuligadhi is located about 16 km north of Sindhulimadhi in Kamalamai Municipality of Sindhuli district. In the rainy season, this place is playing hide and seek with fog. This place is about 150 kilometers east of Kathmandu. Situated at an altitude of 4,648 feet, the area is also naturally beautiful.

There are two separate forts in Sindhuligadhi, small and big. The big fort was built from a strategic point of view. At that time, cannons, ammunition, settlement goods were managed and water was collected in the big fort. The small fort has a history of being built to monitor the enemies coming from the local dhanmana side.

After climbing for about 15-20 minutes through the stairs from near the entrance of Sindhuligadhi, it reaches the main gate of the fort. A dilapidated and dry well can be seen in the upper part of the fort. During the war, water was stored by digging a well on one side of the fort so that there was no shortage of water for the Gorkha army. There are many other historical sites here.

On the north side of the fort, the Tamakoshi River flows in the background of The Gaurishankar Mountain, while on the south side, there is a plain of the Tarai along with the Chure hill covered with green forests.
