Kathmandu. At present, there is an influence of monsoon winds across the country. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the low pressure line of monsoon is located in the west and some north of the average place in the east.

According to the Division, it will be generally cloudy throughout the country this afternoon. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of the hilly region and at a few places of other provinces including Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces. Heavy rainfall is also likely to occur at one or two places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces. Light to moderate rain and snowfall is likely to occur at some places of the high hilly and mountainous region, the Division said.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of the hilly region and at a few places of the rest of the country including Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and SudurPaschim provinces. Heavy rainfall is also likely to occur at one or two places of Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces.

Light to moderate rain and snowfall is likely to occur at some places of the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country. According to the Division, there is a possibility of thunderstorm at some places of Tarai and Madhes provinces of Koshi province.
