Kathmandu. Lawmaker Rajendra Bajgain has said that it is illegal to reach a signature campaign on the issue of people detained in the court order on the charge of cooperative fraud.
In a meeting of the House of Representatives today, Lawmaker Bajgai said that the law would be attracted on such issues.
“If a party president is in jail for political reasons or is in exile, then it is appropriate to hand over the responsibility of acting,” he said. He said it was sad that the party talking about reforms had neglected such basic accountability.
He claimed that he was detained on the court’s order on the charge of cooperative fraud and after not being released, everything from the procession to the signature campaign in Pokhara was illegal.
In the meeting, he said that the ministers were indulging in corruption and bribery. “Sadly, instead of being accountable to the people, some ministers are facing allegations of being involved in controversies, irregularities and corruption,” he said. Many ministers do not seem to be worthy. ’
