Kathmandu. Former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that SEBON should not stop issuing IPO. Sebon said he had heard that the IPO issue had been halted. He said the IPO should not be stopped. He said this at the 23rd Annual General Meeting of IPPAN.
Deuba, who is also the nc president, said he had heard complaints that the private sector has not been able to do PPAs and projects.
He said that the private sector should be allowed to invest. Deuba shared that he had signed an agreement to sell 49 MW of electricity when he was the Prime Minister.
Speaking on the occasion, Energy Minister Deepak Khadka said there was no load shedding at present, but the lights were lost somewhere due to tripping.
He said the RCOD time would be extended depending on the status of the project. Minister Khadka said the law would be formulated as per the interest of the country.
