Delay in framing of essential acts and laws creates hurdles in achieving national aspirations: President Poudel

Kathmandu. President Ram Chandra Poudel has said that the delay in making necessary acts and laws by the parliament would create hurdles in achieving our national aspirations.

In TAG_OPEN_div_10 a meeting with journalists associated with the Society of Parliamentary Affairs Journalists at the President’s Office here today, he said that necessary discussions, consensus and cooperation would make parliamentary activities more people-oriented and instill people’s trust in the parliament.

Stating that democratic practices in Nepal are low TAG_OPEN_div_8, President Poudel stressed the need to play their role unitedly in favor of democratic system as it is the best system. Stating that the Parliament is the place to voice the voice of the people and make necessary laws in a democratic system of governance, he said the mass media would play an important role in making the act and law-making process easier, transparent and accountable by disseminating truthful news.

He expressed the belief TAG_OPEN_div_6 that there would be cooperation and cooperation from the media persons who write in this field to make the parliamentary practice of making laws in favor of the people through parliament and parliamentary committees and highlighting contemporary and urgent problems more effective and accountable.
