Gulmi. The Kaligandaki Corridor road in Gulmi, which has been blocked since Sunday morning, has come into operation after two days.

The road section was completely blocked due to landslides at Gargare of Kaligandaki Rural Municipality-1 and Baralwa of Ward No. 6 of Gulmi.

The road has come into one-way operation from this afternoon after the road construction company Kalika Construction in coordination with the District Police Office Gulmi cleared the landslide for two days through dozers and excavators.

Information Officer at the District Police Office and Deputy Superintendent of Police Ganga Bahadur Saru said it took a long time to clear the landslide.

The local municipality and administration have been urging the people travelling along the road to remain alert as the landslide could pose a risk at any time. The Kaligandaki Corridor road has been obstructed several times since the onset of the rainy season.
