Mustang. The Kagbeni-Korala road under the Jomsom-Korala road, which is a national pride project connecting the north and south, has been obstructed due to landslides.
According to the District Police Office, Mustang, the Korala road has been obstructed since this morning due to landslides along the road at Manebhir along the Korala Highway following last night’s rainfall.
Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Tsering Kippa Lama, said that the road has been obstructed due to a landslide with rocks from the road at Manebhir on the Korala road, about 200 meters north of Kagkhola in Kagbeni.
He said that necessary human resources have been sent to the road along with dozers to clear the road blocked for some time.
Vehicles travelling to Upper Mustang have come to a halt due to the blockade of Kagbeni-Korala road in Mustang. Lama said it may take some time to open the road as huge rocks have fallen from above. He said that the landslide has been removed so that motorcycles and light vehicles can move for the time being.
Mustang: The kaligandaki river has increased in Mustang with last night’s rainfall. The District Administration Office has urged the coastal settlements to remain alert.
