Kathmandu. The 78th meeting of The Nepal Sanskrit University Assembly has approved a budget and programme of Rs 1.31 billion for the next fiscal year.
The meeting chaired by Prime Minister and Vice-Chancellor KP Sharma Oli at the Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar today approved the budget based on the goals and programmes related to physical development presented by Registrar Prof Madhav Adhikari.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice-Chancellor Oli said it was the special responsibility of the university to provide quality education along with its preservation and promotion as Sanskrit is a rich heritage of Nepal with modesty and merit. University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Dhaneshwar Nepal said the concept of ‘Ek Vidyapeeth: Ek Model Gurukul’ has been brought forward in all seven provinces to protect the gurukul system and ensure permanent student resources of the university.
