Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has asked banks to publish financial statements. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has extended the deadline for publishing financial statements till the fourth quarter.

The financial statements for the fourth quarter are to be published by July 15. According to the earlier arrangement, the fourth quarter financial statement was to be published within 21 days.

In a circular, the central bank said, “Banks and financial institutions will have to compulsorily publish the interim financial report (short report) of major financial indicators including integrated financial report in any national level daily newspaper within 15 days from the date of the month of every quarter in the prescribed format for this purpose and provide a copy of the same to the Department of Regulation of Banks and Financial Institutions and the Department of Supervision concerned.” Further, the details of the interim financial report will have to be posted on its website in the format prescribed by this bank. In this way, the detailed interim financial report placed on the website will also have to be mentioned in the report to be published in the newspaper. However, the interim financial report (brief report) of the fourth quarter has to be published within 30 days of the end of the financial year. ’
