Kanchanpur. Locals of Shuklaphanta Municipality-10 have been forced to move around at risk from the dilapidated bridge at Totikhola. The eastern side of the bridge, which was constructed nearly three decades ago, has collapsed.

Locals are taking risks from the same bridge. Deepak Bhatta, a local, said the bridge is in a position to collapse at any time. The municipality has been informed about the poor condition of the bridge, he said.

Meanwhile, Yogendra Adhikari, chief of infrastructure development office, Kanch, said that an agreement has been signed with SMM JV for the construction of box culvert at Totikhola on July 15. Under the scheme, two span box culverts will be constructed at a cost of Rs 29.18 million.
