Narayangarh. The fair has begun at Devghatdham from today. Devotees have been thronging since early morning to fill the fair. The Bolbam Fair has also started from today.

Devotees bathe at Devghat and offer water to Shivalaya and worship Shiva. The month of Saun is considered to be the favorite month of Shiva.

Executive Director of Devghat Area Development Committee Sadan Baral said around 500,000 devotees are expected to visit the fair in July. More devotees are expected to arrive on Monday. Security arrangements have been made in coordination with the local administration in view of the crowd of devotees, he said.

It is believed that if one takes a bath in the month of Saun and fasts and worships Shiva with the water and belpatra of Devghat, the desire will be fulfilled.
